Candlelight is the quintessential, family friendly, no-frills Long Island diner. The owner is really kind and attentive to all of the guests, and the waitress Dolores is such a sweetheart! There's a lot of space to sit inside, and no matter when we've gone there has never been a wait. Their menu is huge, so the downside of such variety is that some things aren't very good. The macaroni and cheese was much too gloppy, the BBQ pulled pork sandwich very heavy, and the chicken Alfredo penne was covered in cheese with not enough sauce. That being said... there are other things on the menu that are delicious, like the turkey club, gyro, cinnamon raisin French toast, and ESPECIALLY the Amish chicken salad sandwich. Altogether, candlelight is a very comforting and nice diner with lovely staff and reliably good diner staples.

This place has been a staple in Commack for many years and it's a decent diner. At my last visit, I ordered the Classic Avocado Toast. The toppings were very good and fresh, I just wished the toast was a little more firm and not soggy.
This is hands down the best destination for late night quality food. Any time for that matter, plus it's on a budget! Go for the eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce is made to perfection. Making it correctly is a lost art these days. They must've trained with ninjas in the Himalayas or something. The staff and management is superb, every time I go the food is always on point and delicious! Feeling desert? With a wide variety there is plenty to choose from. I usually go for the chocolate cake that melts in your mouth every time. Go on and take the family out for a great please dinner on a budget!

Food was good, service from Theresa was great. Wanted a quick bite and this nailed it. Definitely plan to visit again.
Go here for lunch a couple of times this month. Love the variety and taste. I've had an Omlet on one visit. Next I has chicken gyro over salad. Good tasting tzatziki sauce. Good ice tea too
